Navigation Tools

3D map navigation is a tools help the author/user do all these ( zoom in, zoom out, move around, tilt up, tilt down, and rotate the map). The button below navigation tools allows to switch between a top down view (2D) and a perspective view (3D).   

Mouse navigation in 3D

The mouse button is default navigation tool for 3D map  to pan, zoom in,and out  and rotate or tilt your content in case working in 3D visualization. The image below show mouse keys navigators.

Alternatively you can also rotate/tilt the map in 3D mode by holding down CTRL-button on the keyboard and using the left mouse button.

You can pan the map using single finger

Tap the map using a single finger to select features

You can zoom inwards or outwards the map by a pinch gesture with two fingers

You can rotate the map by using a two fingers rotate gesture

You can tilt the map by using two fingers and moving them up/down on the screen

On-map navigator

Screen navigator are buttons commands with single clicks control on the upper right corner of the map. Click controls buttons are useful for navigation through challenging GIS content, especially 3D scenes link building. The control is suitable for touch screen interaction. As in reloaded view the navigator always indicates north.  The image below shows the navigator in full control state for 3D and 2D views respectively. 

User map setting

  • Lighting date: Select the given date and time create closed volumes that model the shadows. Shadow volume will not be produced if the sun is not visible for a given date and time if the sun at vertical angle of 90 degree from the input features.
  • Shadows: Click the checkbox to provide the shadowing projection based on selected date and time. 
  • Show meshes below terrain: Meshes that are below terrain level are drawn through the terrain.
